COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY

GRADE 11 COURSE EVALUATION


This is an open course. It is recommended to have TGJ2GO.


This course is design for students that wish to continue their studies in communication technology and/or explore the communication field. Using the hands on approach students will further develop their skills in computer graphics, digital photography, and the understanding good layout and design techniques. Students will also be introduced to web design, and animation . The emphasis on this course will be placed on web site design. Students will also be exposed to industry standards and career opportunity’s. All students will develop a web-site portfolio for their final project.


The grade eleven communications course outcome will be evaluated using self and teacher evaluations. A rubric will be provided for each assessment.



Skills and Process           

- Effectively plan, organize, direct, and control a variety of communications activities.

- Use current technology and production skills to develop a process or a product.

- Use effective techniques to carry out and document the steps in pre-production, production, and post-production.

- Select and use appropriate software to manage the production process.
